Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 7, 2026

Igggy (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a voice-recording and note-taking tool that transcribes audio and generates structured notes using AI. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data we collect

Account information — Your name and email address, obtained from Google when you sign in via Google OAuth.
Audio recordings — Audio files you upload or record in the app. Audio is transmitted to your chosen transcription provider (Deepgram or OpenAI Whisper) and then deleted immediately from our storage after transcription completes. We do not retain audio.
Transcripts and notes — The text transcript produced by transcription, and the AI-generated note (summary, highlights, tasks, decisions) are stored in our database and associated with your account.
Usage analytics — Anonymized product usage events (e.g., “upload started,” “note created”) collected via PostHog to help us improve the product. No audio or note content is included in analytics events.
API keys (Igggy Open users) — If you use your own API keys (Igggy Open), those keys are stored only in your browser’s localStorage. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. How we use your data

  • To transcribe your audio and generate AI-structured notes
  • To store and display your notes, tasks, and transcripts within the app
  • To provide search functionality over your notes
  • To authenticate your account and maintain your session
  • To understand how the product is used and improve it

We do not sell your data. We do not use your note content to train AI models.

3. Third-party services

Igggy uses the following third-party services to operate:

Supabase — Database, file storage, and authentication infrastructure
Vercel — Application hosting and edge delivery
Google (OAuth) — Account sign-in — your Google profile name and email are shared with us at sign-in
PostHog — Product analytics (anonymized usage events only)
Deepgram — Audio transcription (only when selected as your transcription provider; your audio is sent to Deepgram's API)
OpenAI — Audio transcription via Whisper and/or AI note generation via GPT-4o Mini (only when selected as your provider)
Anthropic — AI note generation via Claude (only when selected as your AI provider)

When you use Igggy Open (bring your own API keys), audio and transcripts are sent directly from your browser to your chosen provider using your own API credentials.

4. Data retention

  • Audio: deleted from our storage immediately after transcription
  • Notes and transcripts: retained until you delete them or request account deletion
  • Account data: retained until you request deletion
  • Analytics events: retained per PostHog’s standard retention policy

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data (notes, transcripts, tasks), email us at:

privacy@igggy.ai

We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Individual notes can also be deleted directly within the app at any time.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Notes and transcripts are stored in a PostgreSQL database with row-level access controls scoped to your account. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard JWT tokens.

7. Children

Igggy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the app. Continued use of Igggy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
